Whitman-Hanson defeats Rockland, 3-1

Whitman-Hanson traveled to Rockland tonight and earned a tough win 3-1. The Rockland Bulldogs started out strong in the first set getting out to a 10-1 lead on strong serving that prevented the Panthers from getting their offense going. After the rough start the Panthers started passing better and pulled within a few points of Rockland but could not pull even giving the first set to Rockland. In the second set the Panthers passing began to be more on point which lead to kills coming from the Panther offense. Strong play by Sophia Raiche and Jordyn Keith in the back row helped the Panthers get out ahead of Rockland and the Panthers never looked back winning the second set with strong play all around. In the third and fourth sets the Panthers were led by Chiara Cassiano's hitting and strong servingand passing by Rachel Brown. Leading the Panthers tonight was Chiara Cassiano with 10 kills and Rachel Brown with 6 aces and 2 kills. Whitman-Hanson moves to 2-2 on the season.
